Pacific Alumni (UAPA) club
The University of Auckland Pacific Alumni (UAPA) club is a non profit organisation for all past students of the University of Auckland who are of Pacific heritage or interest.
Created by a group of Pacific graduates, the UAPA is in its early stages. To date a foundation document has been created; meetings have been convened; a meeting with the Vice Chancellor has been held; and social activities planned.
The Pacific Ball for the UA’s 125th Jubilee was the newly established first large scale event as hosted by the UAPA and Alumni Relations Office. Roughly 160 guest attended the successful event.
It is anticipated that formal elections of officers for the group will be held in 2009.
