Distinguished Alumni nomination

Nominate someone for a Distinguished Alumni Award.


The annual Distinguished Alumni Awards honour our alumni who have made outstanding contributions through their different achievements to their professions, to their communities and to the nation. Up to five awards will be presented each year, including an award honouring the achievements of a young alumnus or alumna.

To nominate someone for a Distinguished Alumni Award, please complete the Distinguished Alumni Awards nomination form.

Young Alumnus/Alumna Award

Recipients of this award will have shown outstanding achievement in their chosen career. As a guideline, nominees for this award should be under 35 years of age on the closing date for nominations.

Achievements and contributions

There is no limit on the nature of the achievements and contributions recognised. However, the following areas will be specifically considered in making the awards:

  • Service to the community; Outstanding contributions to the community at large including assistance to disadvantaged groups or individuals.
  • Professional achievement; Pre-eminence in their chosen field.
  • Leadership; Outstanding professional or voluntary service that is shown within ten years of graduation.
  • Theatre, arts, culture and sport; Outstanding achievements in the fine, performing and applied arts and in team or individual sport to national representative level.
