Rosslyn Noonan - MA

Rosslyn has consistently dedicated her life to improving the lot of ordinary working people through her services to education and human rights in New Zealand and internationally. Her particular focus has been women, children, indigenous and minority culture groups.

Nationally, Rosslyn has worked for the New Zealand Educational Institute, the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions, and is currently Chief Human Rights Commissioner. Internationally, she has worked for Education International for six years as a Trade Union and Human Rights Co-ordinator, advising the United Nations, the World Bank and the World Trade Organisation.

The wealth she has developed is in social cohesiveness and social equity, rather than the often more noted economic wealth.

Rosslyn received a Distinguished Alumni Award in 2002.
