Nalin Bahuguna - BA, MProfStuds
In 1996 Nalin was awarded a BA in Philosophy and Psychology, and in 2003 he graduated again, this time with a Masters in Professional Studies, specialising in Language Teaching.
After finishing his undergraduate degree Nalin tried his hand at sales, and then began to travel "as many young Kiwis do".
He lived in Japan for a few years, teaching, and then he returned to NZ to undertake his Masters degree. After a couple of years teaching in NZ, Nalin headed to Dankook University in South Korea.
He later applied and accepted a position in sales and training with Oxford University Press. "Even though moving around between jobs is generally frowned upon, I saw the opportunity as a once-in-a-lifetime chance, and took it."
Nalin enjoys his role, which mainly involves presenting, both one-on-one and to audiences of up to 500 people. His duties also include some design, advertising, marketing and PR work.
Nalin is an active member of the Australia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Seoul, and he hopes to one day enter into a role where he can promote New Zealand on a world stage.
