Michael Prouting - BCom, LLB (Hons), MBA

Michael graduated from the University with a BCom in 1986 and an LLB (Hons) in 1988, worked for the Auckland office of Rudd, Watts & Stone after graduation, and won a Fulbright Scholarship to Stanford University, where he completed an MBA and graduated in the top 10% of his class in 1990.

Michael currently works for a hedge (investment) fund in San Francisco where he covers healthcare and business services, and lives with his five year old daughter in the dangerous and exciting neighbourhood of West Oakland.

Although he still hasn't learned how to surf ("you're never too old"), Michael loves to boogie board at the Santa Cruz beaches (wet suit essential, even in summer) and visit New York city, where he can be found drinking into the wee morning hours with Auckland alum, distinguished philosopher, and fellow Kerouac-inspired hipster Michael Strevens (definitely the Sal of the pair)
