Lance Kennedy - BSc
University was a turning point Lance's life, honing his interest in the sciences, and particularly ecology.
During his time at the University, Lance was an active and enthusiastic member of the University Underwater Club. This, combined with his BSc in Zoology, led to a life-long interest in conservation and environmentalism.
After graduating in 1972, Lance tried his hand at a number of different pursuits, spending time working as a science teacher, a scuba instructor, an industrial chemist, and finally in marketing industrial chemicals.
Lance's keen interest in science has continued, and he reads and studies widely, with an interest in all fields. He currently runs a successful business, importing and distributing preservatives and fungicides for the leather industry in New Zealand and in Australia.
Lance's interest in environmental science and the international "green" movement has led him to write a book, Ecomyth: Challenging the Dogma and Ideology of the International 'Green' Movement. Ecomyth is published by Dunmore Press.
