Ian Athfield - DipArch

Ian is a prominent and influential architect of Wellington, who pioneered a distinctive style of hillside house, rough and earthy in texture with rounded shapes.

Over the last 30 years Ian's creativity has won him numerous design awards. He has done lecture tours and spoken at international conferences, and written numerous articles and commentaries. He was awarded a New Zealand Medal in 1990 for contributions to architecture.

Ian received a Distinguished Alumni Award in 1997.
