Hua Xiang - MTaxS (Hons)

Hua Xiang was awarded a Master of Taxation Studies (Hons) from The University of Auckland in 2005.

After graduating Hua was recommended for a job by a leading Chinese scientist and is currently in the position as a lecturer at South-western University of Finance and Economics in China.

She hopes to continue her studies in the future, with the intention of gaining a PhD and eventually becoming a professor.

Hua chose to study at The University of Auckland because she believed it to be one of the leading universities in the world. Lecturers who left a lasting impression on her include Dr Chris Ohms, Mark Keating and Audrey Sharp.

When she isn't working Hua enjoys travelling, and is keen to develop relationships with other Auckland alumni who may be in her area.

Her husband is also a graduate of The University of Auckland, where he studied computer science.

Hua is the University's alumni group co-ordinator in Chengdu, China.
