Professor Chris Kyle - BA, MA, PhD
Chris was awarded his BA in 1985, and then his MA and PhD in 1994.
Chris' fond memories of the University include the excellent library, friendly professors, and the joys of Old Government House and the Staff Common Room. However, he also remembers the "terrible coffee and student food"!
After obtaining his PhD, Chris began his academic career at the University of London.
Chris is now an associate professor of history at Syracuse University, New York. He specialises in the toponomology, society, law, and culture of Westminster and London; and the social history of parliaments in early modern Britain.
When Chris isn't studying, researching or teaching he likes to spend his time cross-country and downhill skiing, gourmet dining, wine-tasting, and travelling.
