Auckland University Press is a dynamic and lively scholarly publisher. It has for many years been a major publisher in New Zealand history and biography, Māori and Pacific studies and literary studies and is an important publisher of new poetry. It has developed recent strengths in contemporary social and political issues, art history and media studies. It has also published two very successful books for children.
